Bike story #43

I just dont get humans. How is it that a society with an attention span of 4.7 seconds can stand in line for an amusement park ride for over an hour when the ride last less than two minutes. A group of us hit La Ronde (of the Six Flags) yesterday for some awesome ride action. We were there for 7 hours and only got on 5 rides though. Hit the huge wooden roller coaster first, the insane twister thing next (humans should not be able to experience that type of experience), the vampire (Kate had her eyes closed the entire ride, at one point we get sprayed by mist and she did not even realize it), the flume where JP and I took our shirts off and got caught on those extornionist photos (a group of 4 ladies when topless on the rollercoaster before us and their pic was up) and finally the wooden moster again at night. Its nuts to get a kick out of being scared but I think a large part of it is having all your senses totally dulled in an hour line and then having your adrenelin come out of nowhere for a quick burst. The rapid change is the key. It was a fun day there and it was only topped off by the international fireworks competition. Portugal gave us a go and put on an idescribably show. That competition has to be seen to be believed, they are such an odd experience that is uncomparable to anything else.
On the bike ride home Conor rammed into a cyclist cause he thought it was me. It was hilarious and terribly awkward at the same time. The Kate totally cut some girl off and almost got sideswiped. We were too late for the InFlightSafety show though. Jason Bajada put on a great set though, totally dug his sound. It was the first time in rock history that all the bands went on on time. Sucks. Exhausting day though. Anyday where everything you do makes you nautious is a pretty good day.
