Listen to this Jack Ass

I was doing some reading on TV on the Radio today and I found this site that has fan reviews of the album. Check out this Jack Ass Jacks's comments. Genesis sucks, Peter Gabriel sucks. Anyone who thinks Genesis was an art/rock dream must have wet nightmares because there is no way anything good came out of that mumbo jumbo of bad band gumbo.

The review is of TV on the Radio- Young Liars

Treat (edit: that is his real name)
It's not very often (I meant never) when I can actually say that a singers voice compares to Peter Gabriel, but this one does. And that is a very good thing. If you know anything about music you already know that Genesis was an art/rock dream that went bad. Well this band sounds like the Genesis before they went to Phil (or crap, means the same to me). Give this disc a try. It's too cheap not to. If you dig it try diving into some old Genesis. You'll be glad you did.

If I ever read another of your blog entries that have topics such as Genesis or pissing on toilet seats I am going to officially renounce you as a friend. Then I am going to come visit you in Montreal, get drunk, and throw old dead logs threw your walls, because the logs 'look like trouble'.

Having said that, I moved in this weekend with Pelkey, if you get a chance ask Mike about Used-to-be-Gay and his side kick Street-Tough.

i see no connection between tv on the radio and genesis and wonder how this man can enjoy them both. i'm not familiar with genesis before phil collins but i'm somewhat doubtful that it sounded anything like tv on the radio. however, i do believe the author in that phil collins probably only brought shame to that band...

it reminds me of a similar situation with rush and geddy lee... the music isn't so bad until geddy starts singing. what's with his voice? too bad it's his music... the band can't really kick him out.

hopefully tyler doesn't renounce you as a friend with my bringing Genesis back into the discussion... perhaps he hates rush even more.

What about the voice of Geddy Lee
How did it get so high
I wonder if he speaks like an ordinary guy
I know him and he does
Well you are my fact checking cuz
We'll focus on the quasar in the mist
The Kaiser has a cyst
And I am a blank want list
The qualms you have and if they stick
They will drown you in a crick
In the neck of the woods that was populated by
Tired nation on the fly
Advice was given u for free
Lots of details to discern
Lots of details

I cant believe you are moving in with Pelky. I will have to come play video games with you at some point.

Neil Pert is the reason why Rush has more than one album. That guy can drum.

Despite the fact that I'm not a big Rush fan... I do think they're terribly talented... I just wish that one day Geddy Lee would wake up, listen to the music, then decide to let someone else do the singing.

As for TV on the Radio... I've only heard a few songs included on mixed cds given to me by ex-lovers and friends. I like the songs I own... but haven't started to build a collection or anything. i need to hear more to give them any kind of star rating.

What's the deal with that Pony Up! band? How young are those girls?

I just need to get this out...

Roll the Bones has to be the worst song Rush has ever produced. When I say they have talent... I'm saying this with the exclusion of Roll the Bones. It might even take the title of being the worst attempt at a comeback song there ever has been in rock history.

There is only one thing that is worse... and that is, that I think some people like it! It gets played on classic rock radio stations for Christ's sake.
