My best friends

I have always had a 'dream team' of best friends that in an ideal world would hang out with me. Last night I welcomed a new buddy into our possy. The Daily Show had one of the funniest kid ever who had a gigantic head, so big in fact that no football helmet would fit him so two years ago, his town rallied around him and chipped in to have one manufactured to fit him. Last night Rob Cordray went back for a follow up visit two years later and the kids was still on top of his game. Not football, he quit that, but on top of his hillarious game. He would be the quiet dry hillarious guy in our group that also includes Gordon Shumway (he would be the groups prankster), Richard Branson (he has billions of dollars to play with but he is also a nice guy), Julliane Moore (every gang needs a hottie, a plutonic hottie mind you), Beck (cause he is pretty darn cool) and me (cause its my stupid fantasy that proves I have not mentally matured much past the grade 6 level).

julliane moore? really? i guess we don't have the same taste in the ladies. i'd have gone for patti schmidt from brave new waves (cbc radio). she's cute and would contribute music.

hmmm... lets see...
my 'dream team' probably would consist mostly of non-intellegent people. i'd rather hang out with funny people and storytellers. i like being entertained.

do you listen to cbc radio? did you hear the 'steve the 1st' short series after 'go' on saturdays. it was very funny... i'd like to hang out with the producers of that series for sure.

maybe jd. salinger and i'd agree with beck. but i guess i can't steal him from your team... i'll take bonnie prince billy instead. he's a bit strange...

i should go. i'm taking the day off to go and study for my french test in the park.

I think you should include Ted Lange as well. All good groups of friends need a good bartender.

sorry... it's me once again...

i'm working so this will be short. i pomise.

i've got a friend in need of a 'pick me up' mix. something to get her mind off large life decisions.

anyway.. so far i've arranged some stereo total, stereolab, yeah yeah yeah's, MIA (more of a joke really... but funny),Animal Collective, and some !!!. I still have lots of other room to include more of something else. this has been a little difficult for me as i think her and i have very different musical tastes.

i need it for after work... before the black mountain show tonight...

any suggestions?

and tyler? i don't know you... but that last comment was wonderful. if chris doesn't want him on his team, i'd be happy to take him.

Ahh music and coffee, life's two best artificail happiness makers. Two other possible inclusions for your friend could be the scissor sisters and Super Furry Animals. Two happy albums. Do you consider Stereolab pick-me-up music? I like them but I think of them more as sad for some reason.

Hey, what is wrong with Julianne Moore? Who is better than her is fameland?
Have fun at Black Mountain. I am jealous, that should be a wicked show.

Ok Tucker - First of all if you ever list artifical happiness makers and leave out booze, I will walk to montreal and, well, probably do nothing. Maybe call you and MS for a drink, I guess.

Did you ever get that damage deposit money from the Slag you used to pay rent too? And for the record it isnt that there is anything wrong with Juliana, there is just better. She certainly isnt a hottie, but the Queen of England would probably be a blast to hang out with once you got a bottle of vino in her.

And peony pusher - I know it is too late but I suggest these albums for happy music picks: The Boogie Night Soundtrack, any Lemon Jelly album and almost any Louis Armstrong.

anyway back to work. Rheostatics tonight with Lutes, Pelky, Jackson and Godbout.... I would say hello to them all for you but I believe that statement could be one of the most over used empty promises in the history of man.Cheers,
Tyler

So Tyler about the damage deposit... holy fuck the system is fucked. After winning my rental board claim and then winning my court case it seems that there is nothing that justice can do to actually get me the money. They suggested I speak to a collection agency so I call Aurora Collections agency and start talking to them... the nice man there asks me who the claim would be against. I say her name and he goes, "Oh, withouht breaking any confidentiality, its not a good thing that I know her name". He then basically tells me that I wont get much at all from her because there are bigger fish looking for bigger cheques. So I am back to almost the beggining but the rental boardsman told me months ago that it is a crime to spend a damage deposit so right now I am in the process of filing a civil suit against her. Fuck, my dad kind of admited to me recently that the best thing to have done would have been to break her front window or steel her hard drive.

The reason I did not include booze as an articfical happiness maker is that booze is not artificial. It really makes me happy for rea.

Enjoy the Rheostatics you bastards... MS and I are seeing the Shins next week.

salut! thanks for the mix tips. i didn't actually get the time to include anything else. it was a wonderful thought on my part and gesture on your parts. i haven't heard of either lemon jelly or scissor sisters... it gives me something to look into i guess.

i do find stereolab's emperor tomato ketchup to be 'pick me up' music. how can you not dance when listening to it?

as for jullianne moore, she's sexy. i do however think kate hudson, ashley judd, and gwyneth paltrow would surpass her if put on a top sexiest chart (after the queen of england of course).

i had an excellent time at the black mountain show! they were supurb... it was unfortunate that there was no saxa-m-phones... but a good show none the less. i met the singer's mom when a couple of my friends and i took a short stroll outside to partake in some illegal cigarettes. she was very nice and looked a little like an elf of some kind. when we went back in we noticed many extremely short little people and figured they must have been relatives of his. it was a night of little people and it made me feel good and tall.

london didn't know the black mountain... the poor guys had to play to an empty bar. i need to move!!!

I will have to listen to Stereolab's Emperor Tomato Ketchup and evaluate it as 'pick me up' music. I have a couple of their albums on tape from years ago and I dont even know which albums so I generalize everything I know about them from that.

Okay, although Tyler was right with the queen of england probably beeing be the best girl in the gang and agreed Kate Hudson is hot (hot name too), Ashley Judd (best nose in Hollywood), but Gwyneth Paltrow come on? She has no curves, no girth, no style of her own. She is too Hollywood looking to be in my gang as the token hottie.
